All About Braces

The primary purpose of braces is to gently guide each individual tooth into a predetermined position for optimal placement. This can be completed over a span of a few years and can eliminate many of the issues that can come from having crooked or impacted teeth. These days, you can find braces with an assortment of different colors and styles to fit your tastes. Braces are now put on your teeth with a type of mouth glue instead of being bolted on. This can make it much easier to remove a braces when the alignment is complete.

Invisalign is the nearly invisible way to straighten your smile! A series of clear aligners will be custom created to meet your specific orthodontic needs. In addition to their aesthetic appeal, with Invisalign you do not have any of the food restrictions that come with traditional braces. Since they are 100% removable, you will be able to enjoy all of your favorite foods as well as continuing good oral hygiene habits. Invisalign is available for adult and teen patients with certain orthodontic bite problems. During your orthodontic evaluation with us, we will determine if Invisalign is the right option for you.

Traditional Silver

Metal braces are still the most widely used form of braces, however they certainly have come a long way over the years. Metal braces are now smaller, lighter and more efficient than ever before. We offer a wide variety of colored elastic ties for you to choose from, so you can customize your look each time you come in for an appointment!

Ceramic Braces

Traditional and ceramic braces both operate in the same way, by tightening the wire throughout treatment. Both types of braces also require the use of elastic bands, which attach the wire to the brackets. However, ceramic brackets are clear or tooth-colored, making them much more discrete than metal ones. Ceramic braces can also be equipped with transparent wires to make the appliance even less noticeable. On top of that, the elastic bands can also be clear or tooth-colored.

Clear Braces

Clear ceramic braces have become a popular treatment option among our adult patients due to their cosmetic appeal. The translucent (clear) brackets minimize the appearance of braces, and allow the natural beauty of your teeth to shine through.
